Welcome to the 2026 Lake Brunner Trail Run!

Set on the stunning Lake Brunner Scenic Trail, this family-friendly event has something for everyone, with three course options for runners and walkers of all abilities, including the kids.

The Lake Brunner Trail Run is a fundraiser, with proceeds supporting the continued construction and maintenance of the Lake Brunner Scenic Trail.

Your 2026 course options
• 5km Run & Walk: Perfect for families, kids, and walkers.
• 10km Run: A great mid-distance challenge.
• 21km+ Hero Event: The big one!

For the 21km+ hero event, we’re planning a similar distance to last year’s 21km course. However, with work on the trail continuing, we’re hoping to take participants further into Carew Bay and onto some exciting new terrain.
We’ll keep working closely with the Lake Brunner Scenic Trail team as race day gets closer, and if the trail allows us to go further, we’ll make the most of it!

Age groups
• U12: 11 years and under
• Junior: 12–19 years
• Open: 20–39 years
• Veteran: 40–54 years
• Classic: 55 years and over
Age is determined as of race day.

Awards and age group results
All participants will be recognised within their respective age groups in the official race results.
Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third placed male and female participants in the following categories:
• 21km+: Men’s & Women’s Open, Veteran and Classic, with Junior participants included in the Open category
• 10km: Men’s & Women’s Overall
• 5km: Men’s & Women’s Overall, excluding U12 participants
• 5km U12: Boys and Girls
The fastest male and female participants in the 21km event will also be crowned the Lake Brunner Trail Run King and Queen for 2026!
